Painting of Sheffield boxing legend Johnny Nelson to be auctioned to help the Brendan Ingle Foundation

There may be no better prize to any boxing fan than to have a remarkable painting of the one and only, Johnny Nelson, handsomely placed in your living-room.
The remarkable artwork has been created by the incredibly talented and aptly named, George Groves. The 1x1 meter painting of the legendary boxer has already raised £850 and it is hoped to raise more with the goal being donated to the Brendan Ingle Foundation.

Hide AdSpeaking exclusively to the Star, George said: “We are working really hard to try and raise as much money as we can for the Brendan Ingle Foundation. I’ve spoken to many boxers who knew Brendan and they’ve all talked about how he worked so hard to create a positive impact on so many peoples lives.
"Brendan has an irreplaceable place in so many hearts and that has really inspired me to try and help the foundation, and everyone associated with it, as best I can”.
Johnny Nelson, Said: “Wow, the artist George Groves, approached me to commission this portrait. He’s kindly auctioning it to raise money for the Brendan Ingle Foundation and has called it ‘The Ingle Way’.
Richard Towers from the Brendan Ingle Foundation, said: “This is a brilliant gesture. Be nice to people on your way up, as your sure to meet them on your way back down."
