Family drama offers an entertaining night
Fashionably Late revolves around a mum and her family who are planning a joint birthday party for Dad’s 60th and Fred’s 18th when tragedy strikes. Can the party go ahead? And should it?

Hide AdThe show, which will be staged at Calver Village Hall on Saturday, November 14, stars Ginny Davis as the mum and numerous other characters.
Her co-star is James Goldsworthy, co-founder of Popinjay Productions, who trained with the Year Out Theatre Company, Stratford-upon-Avon.
Ginny practised law in the Midlands until the birth of her daughter when she became a stay at home mum.
As chairman of the governors of her children’s school, she produced four revues, which she wrote and performed in sketches.

Hide AdGinny now works full time writing and performing her own material.
She has aired her work in venues ranging from private sitting rooms to 300-seat theatres, watched by audiences which have included members of the royal family, a lpet abrador, a chicken and numerous mayors.
Ginny’s performance credits include fringe festivals in Buxton, Edinburgh, Brighton and Stratford upon Avon.
As a writer of short stories, one of her tales, Requiem, won the Oundle Festival of Literature Short Story Competition in 2008. Ginny had two others shortlisted in the same competition in 2009 and 201o.

Hide AdHer offspring have achieved acting fame and success. Rosie, 21, played Pip in The Archers on Radio 4 for three years. Ralph, 18, played Arthur in the RSC’s King John (2006) and the Duke of York in the RSC’s Richard III at The Courtyard Theatre, Stratford on Avon and at The Roundhouse, London, in 2007-2008.
