Hugely acclaimed 1984 to return to city
The critically-acclaimed Nottingham Playhouse, Headlong and Almeida Theatre co-production of George Orwell’s 1984 will return to the Playhouse later in the year.
The production has already enjoyed two completely sold-out runs and a UK tour which received rave reviews.
This chilling examination of untrammelled state control was ingeniously adapted for the stage by writer-directors Robert Icke and Duncan MacMillan was nominated for the 2014 Olivier Award for Best New Play.
It is at Nottingham Playhouse from September 10-26. Call 0115 9419419 for ticket details.
