The average house price in England, according to the latest UK house price index, for December 2020, is £269,150, while in Chesterfield it is £171,056, up 6.3 per cent on December 2019, when it was £160,927.
Tom Parker, consumer spokesman at property website Zoopla, says: “Chesterfield offers great value to home hunters.
“For under £100,000 it’s possible to purchase a two-three-bedroom home, with an enclosed rear garden.
“Even better, the stunning countryside of the Peak District is located right on your doorstep.”
