Book launched at Bakewell school
Budding reporters at Bakewell’s Lady Manners School landed a coup when visiting author, Matt Dickinson chose to launch his new book at the school.
Matt, an award-winning writer and filmmaker with a passion for climbing and adventure, chose the Shutts Lane school for the launch of his latest thriller for teenagers, The Everest Files.
He told them of his trip to the summit, surviving temperatures of -70°F in which he nearly lost two fingers to frostbite. Meanwhile, a group of year nine students were receiving tips on interview technique from a Radio 4 Extra reporter.
