CHARLENE COLECHIN: Fund for meningitis teen raises £350 in a day
Charlene Colechin, from Inkersall, became the subject of intense media attention last week after releasing photographs which showed the devastating impact the killer disease can have.
The hairdresser says she will definitely lose her toes as a result of the illness and may even lose her feet and parts of her legs as well.

Hide AdThe campaign has been organised by family friend Angela Simson who says the money will help Charlene and her family cope financially during her recovery.
The story - which featured in the Daily Mirror, the Daily Mail and on the BBC and Sky websites - was sparked by a Facebook post written by the 18-year-old hairdresser from her hospital bed.
