'˜All occupants' involved in a collision on the A617 close to junction 29 of the M1 motorway have escaped serious injury.

Derbyshire Roads Police tweeted shortly before 5pm that its units were attending a multi-vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway between Temple Normanton and the motorway.

The carriageway was closed to motorists travelling towards the M1, with traffic diverted at Temple Normanton.

Officers later tweeted that ‘all occupants’ involved in the collision were ‘ok’ and that they were attempting to open a lane for traffic.
