The inquest at Chesterfield Coroners’ Court on Thursday heard there are a number of ‘factual disputes’ surrounding the circumstances of Mr Robinson’s death.

The inquest had been initially opened last year but was adjourned in an attempt to gather more documents from a hospital in Faro. However, assistant coroner for Derbyshire, Kathryn Hayes, said this had proved ‘fruitless’.

The inquest will resume later this year and last two days.
