Amazon's team based near Chesterfield makes £1k donation to homelessness organisation
Sleep Pod makes shelters for rough sleepers to help keep them warm and dry during severe weather.
It received the donation as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.

Hide AdRichard Cowlishaw-Ellison, site leader at Amazon in Barlborough, said: “Sleep Pod provides protection and shelter to some of the most vulnerable people in society and we’re pleased to be supporting the charity with this donation.
“The charity does important work both here in Derbyshire and across the UK and we’re pleased to support its staff and volunteers in their efforts to combat homelessness.”
Justin Devereux, from Sleep Pod, added: “We’ve had great feedback from the charities we work with and the people who use Sleep Pods.
“Our Sleep Pod is to be seen as an emergency shelter only before more appropriate support is found.”
