Derbyshire’s 74-year-old head balancer John Evans edges towards 100 world records
John Evans, who lives in Ilkeston, has raised more than £250,000 for charity during the past 30 years for feats which have earned him more mentions in the Guinness Book of Records than anyone else.
Despite only having one eye, being diabetic and suffering angina, John is letting nothing get in the way of his dream of achieving 100 world records.

John hopes to raise cash for the homeless charity Emmanuel House in Nottingham through his attempts in which he will use 12 trolley loads of products supplied by the city-based Jambons Wholesale Goods Ltd.
He said: “I am going to be practising every day until October 10. I have missed doing my charity events.”
The double challenge will come three years after John walked with 1,000 tins of pet food on his head, in aid of the animal charity PDSA.
