Tributes to 'absolute gentleman' who died in Chesterfield car and tractor crash as investigations continue

Officers are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident after being called to Station Lane in Old Whittington, at the junction of Ashcroft Drive, at 1.10pm yesterday (Thursday, July 30) following reports that the trailer had fallen upon a Toyota Aygo car.
The passenger in the car sadly died at the scene while the driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Hide AdThe tractor driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Shocked Chesterfield residents reacted to news of the incident and passed on their condolences to the families involved.
