Former Chesterfield midfielder Milan Butterfield signs for Alfreton Town
The 23-year-old joined the Spireites in August 2020 from Kidderminster Harriers for a ‘nominal compensation fee’ when John Pemberton was manager.
However, the Bermudian international only made seven appearances and did not feature at all under current boss James Rowe.

Hide AdButterfield had a short loan spell at Guiseley last season before the National League North campaign was curtailed.
He was then released by Chesterfield at the end of his contract last July.
Butterfield was named among the subs for Alfreton’s 3-0 win at Farsley Celtic on Saturday.
He could make his debut this weekend when the Reds host AFC Fylde.

Hide AdAlfreton are currently sixth in the National League North with 12 points from their first eight games.
Billy Heath’s men, who beat Chesterfield 3-2 in a pre-season friendly in July, are in fine form after winning three on the bounce.
