Chances were being created every time Buxton pressed over the halfway line but only one chance was converted to a goal.
Buxton will have been pleased with their second-half performance and will now look to build on it when they play Leek’s fourth team in another friendly this Saturday.
• Meanwhile, Buxton’s first team went down to a narrow 3-1 defeat at home to Chesterfield’s second team on Saturday.
