Built in 1892 and standing at around 900ft above sea level, the pub offers spectacular views. The 40-seater restaurant is bright and relaxing while the inn is cosy and inviting. Food is served noon until 9pm, six days a week and between noon and 8pm on Sunday. Their short-crust pies have become a culinary success story, baked daily with fillings unique to the Gate.
